Before entering the practice of law, I spent more than three decades in aviation, flying military and commercial helicopters in roles that required discipline, judgment, and constant attention to detail. That same approach now defines how I prepare and defend criminal cases.
I graduated with honors from Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law, passed the Tennessee bar, and began my legal career with one of East Tennessee’s established criminal defense firms, where I handled cases throughout the region and developed practical courtroom experience across a broad range of criminal matters.
During those years, I also completed additional focused education in DUI defense, trial advocacy, evidentiary issues, and criminal litigation strategy.
That training reinforced what experience quickly confirms: many cases are decided by details that are overlooked, assumed, or never fully tested.
